In 2021, the U of I Library entered into a Read and Publish agreement with Elsevier.

Benefits for U of I affiliates:

• Unlimited access to Elsevier’s Freedom Collection which includes the vast majority of their catalog of journals.
• A 10% article processing charge discount for gold open access publishing in most Elsevier journals. Eligible titles include over 2,000 Elsevier-owned journals.

Requirements:

• To qualify for discounted open access publishing under our Read and Publish agreement with the Elsevier, a U of I author must be listed as the corresponding author and they must indicate their affiliation with U of I during the submission process.
