Seen at left center is the Opera House. Next to it is the David Boarding House, built after the 1912 fire, and at far left saloon building that burned in 1914. In the distance (center) is the Catholic Church and to its right, the school. The dark building in the semi-foreground is the Chapin home. In the original photo could be seen the studding of the dance hall wing which Chapin built to entertain prospective buyers of cedar poles. Toward the right is the square frame house which started as a brothel.
