Abstract: For 75 years, the Borah Symposium at the University of Idaho has considered a wide range of issues related to the causes of war and the conditions necessary for peace in the international system. From April 1-3 2013, the symposium will consider the role of sports in this context. How does sport fit into larger patterns in global events, and why are major international organizations turning to sport to accomplish their goals?
