"Revision in a Time of Revision: A Discussion of How the Creative Process is Stimulated and Stymied by Personal and Political Crisis"
November 14th
Kim Barnes - English
Abstract: "Trust the process" is the mantra I repeat again and again to my writing students, author friends, and myself. But what happens when the process is interrupted by unforeseen--and potentially informing and revisionary--events? This very informal discussion will involve my own observations and examples of how my writing process has been affected by personal and political upheaval. A Q&A will follow the short presentation.
