Description: This theatre played a significant role in the recreation, entertainment, and culture of Moscow from 1925 to 1950. In 1925, Milburn Kenworthy developed a new theater that reflected the era’s attention to historical elements and exotic atmosphere. The Kenworthy, opened in 1926, was Moscow’s first large, elaborate theater, and the first to show talking pictures.

Kenworthy Theatre [01], 2024, Cameron Nielsen

Neely and Sons Garage on east side of Main Street south of Fifth Street. Built about 1909 as the Crystal Theater, then Standard Garage (Buick dealership), Neely and Sons, and taken over about 1925 by Kenworthy Theatre.
