- A CCC man stands inside a large burnt-out tree trunk in the middle of a field. Back of the photo reads: 'A stump left from the 1910 fire which burned from state of Washington all the way through Idaho to western edge of Montana. A strip 50 to 75 miles wide. It destroyed almost all the virgin timber.
