After the arrest and trial of the Rev. Robert Williams at Kamiah last January Moses Montieth came up to Mt. Idaho and ‘confessed’ to me saying that he "had been led astray by lies" ("in wakashapapelainin mishamitki") he said. And he told me that he knew then that the accusation of the tinum (the woman Miyamewtalikatsat or Alis, or Alice) against the Rev. Robert Williams, and causing his arrest was a falsehood (‘mishamt’).
