Mt. Idaho June 4th 1892
Kate dear sister-
The enclosed letter was addressed to Mt Idaho and I opened it without thinking. Forgive
me. I suppose you saw Rev. Watson at Gen Ass. He was Archies strong friend. You may know
how I am waiting to hear of Archies doings in Portland and
especially about him and the Board. Did he succeed with them? Write to me just the very
day you recieve this. Tell me everything which concerns us and the Nez Perces.
Elder James Wilbur told me yesterday that Archie had returned and is to have Communion in
his church tomorrow. His Sakahs people went into camp at Kamiah for Communion yesterday.
What news will he have to tell them? Please tell me at once about his
success, or otherwise at Portland. Is he going to Washington DC? What did Charlie do? Tell
me everything. I have seen of the doings of Gen Ass about Briggs &c and thank
God James Hayes voted right, I see. Were he & Eddie taken notice of? Who did you see
of the old friends? Tell me about Nellie Holcomb & everything. And tell me about the
Board. Is anyone coming this way this summer? Was Dr Brookes or Dr Walter Scott there? I
only had one little letter from you in Portland. I saw Gen Ass would adjourn on the 31st.
It is nearly dark saturday evening and I want to mail this monday A.M. if God wills. Write
to me at once. You may know how anxiously I am waiting to hear. Good night.
God bless you. Give my best love to Miss Fletcher and Miss Gay
Sister Sue
I have had a letter from the Cashier of the Big Bend Bank enclosing a letter to Archie
which he asks me to send him. Archie owes the Big Bend Band $21.00 McArthur (Rev) endorsed
for Archie at the Bank. McArthur gave the Cashier my address. Of course He will have to
pay if A does not.
