Ransacking my letters for the letter of Dr Ellinwoods of which you spoke to Gen Heth, I came across this letter of Dr Ellinwood to you, and sent it to you in case you should need it. Gen H. writes that an Inspector is investigating C. E. Montieths fitness for Agent for the Nez Perces and Charlie stated that "Miss Sue M^c B was ordered by Dr Ellinwood to move off the Reserv."

Why in the world don’t you write? I have written twice to you lately and have had no answer. Did you recieve my letters? I told you too that I have not been well since I came home. Write to me at once, please. Tell me everything.
