Library Purchases Institute of Physics Historic Archive
|
The library has added a subscription to the Institute of
Physics (IOP) Historic Archive. The
archive includes all journals published by the Institute of Physics back to 1874 for a total of 52 journals.
The IOP subscription has a rolling ten-year blackout of current issues although all papers published are available for free 30 days
from the date of online publication. For example, in the year 2004 the full-text of articles from the date of inception of the
journal through 1993 will be available to UI staff and students through the archive. In addition, any papers published within the
last 30 days will be available for 30 days. The full-text of papers published during 1994-30 days previous to today’s date is not
available and will need to be requested through interlibrary loan.
