- Description:
- This professional paper provides information about the coniferous regeneration resulting from a variety of harvest regeneration activities on the University of Idaho Experimental Forest. Eighteen stands were sampled, 16 on the Flat Creek Unit and 2 on the East Hatter Creek Unit. The stands ranged in size from 4 to 22 acres, comprised 181 acres and were harvested between 1978 and 1988. A total of 528 fixed area circular plots were used in a systematic sampling design. Standard regeneration information was collected and is presented in the form of a detailed figure for each stand. This information will be useful to students, faculty members, foresters and managers in evaluating the success of various harvest regeneration and site preparation methods, in discussing ecological relationships, and in planning stand treatment activities.
