- The church at left was built in 1907 and dedicated February 1908. The school at the right was built in the summer of 1903 and used until the fall of 1952 when students were taken by bus to Kendrick and Juliaetta. The above picture [90-5-103] was taken in 1973 by Clifford M. Ott. For three months, the first Gold Hill school in 1888-89 was f held in a log cabin known as the Bill Benner homestead; seven children [attended]. In the fall of 1890 a log school house was built on the top hill just south of the present school shown above [90-5-103]. The log school house was used for 12 years.
