Ott was sent there in October of 1942 to install equipment for packaging beans, peas, lentils, and pearl barley for the grocery trade. First line went into production in December with three more, January 1943. Later more lines went into production making a total capacity of 80,000 one-pound cellophane bags in an eight-hour shift.
