- Description:
- Although the intensity of the desire for improved or maintained environmental quality has varied, the concern is clearly not a passing fad. In the United States it is now a national goal. The process of arriving at this goal, however, is not without: its difficulties. For example, I would imagine it would be difficult, if not impossible, to find a person or organization who would not be in favor of a clean and healthy environment. Bui it. is another matter entirely to get a consensus on who must give up some ''rights'' in order to give someone else some ''benefits''. Presented at the 28th Annual Meeting, Pacific Northwest Region, American Society of Agricultural Engineers, Calgary, Alberta; Octover 10-12, 1973.
