- This investigation is part of a study of the operation of the Fremont-Madison Irrigation District in southeastern Idaho. The scope of work includes five particular tasks, each addressing concerns of the canal company and individual members of Fremont-Madison Irrigation District. The report includes a general description of aquifer systems followed by the purpose of study, procedure of analysis, and conclusions and recommendations for each particular task. The specific tasks are to assess: (1) effects of U.S. Bureau of Reclamation (USBR) ground-water exchange wells operation; (2) effects of privately owned ground-water exchange wells operation; (3) effects of changes in water management on the Egin Bench; (4) effects of ground-water pumping on the Rexburg Bench; (5) effects of changes in irrigation practices and land use in the Teton Basin.
