- Title:
- Ground water resources of Idaho
- Authors:
- Graham, William G.; Campbell, Linford J.
- Date Created (ISO Standard):

- Description:
- The report describes the ground-water resources in the state of Idaho and recognizes the major ground-water systems in the state based on previous studies. Seventy major groundwater flow systems were identified in Idaho, many comprising more than one aquifer. The general lithologies, which usually represent the shallowest component of the regional system, and potentiometric contours and directions of groundwater movement are illustrated in Plates 2 and 3. Additional hydrogeologic characteristics, ranges and arithmetic means of physical and dissolved chemical constituents of groundwater by flow system, and primary and secondary drinking water standards are presented in Tables 1-4 (Appendix B). Descriptions of the major groundwater systems follow.
