Description:
This near-complete gohan chawan is decorated with a hand-painted abstract design and three senbori (incised lines/bands). The base of the vessel has a tokin kodai or 'helmet foot' that is characterized by the raised cone in the center of this footring (Simpson et al. 2014:54, 60).
