Families are also an incredible part of the support system for student success, and even with pandemic protocols in place, we are celebrating and doing all we can to foster those family ties. The spring Parent and Family Weekend â hosted by the Student Alumni Relations Board â kicks off today with Vandal Parent Trivia and a full slate of virtual events through the weekend. There is still time to sign up and spend the weekend with your Vandal virtually. Parent and Family Weekend is a time for families to come together. At last fallâs virtual event, Jaye Anne Coffland and her family huddled around the computer in Pocatello to solve clues and send their current Vandal, Conner, a junior, on a scavenger hunt to locate the site in the clue and send photos back to confirm his finds. Even his older brother, Kyle â19, got in on the fun. The event brought the family together â even across the miles â to share in a Vandal experience. You can bet they are building Vandal memories again this year by logging in to the event. Nothing has been easy the past year. But your unconditional support of our students has helped them succeed in the classroom and out. Breaking down barriers, providing support and cheering on our Vandals as they work toward a college degree is good for Idahoâs economy, good for the future of our communities and, most importantly, good for our students. |
