Title:
Differences in factors of fire danger resulting from differences in density of the forest
Photographer:
Swan, Kenneth D. (Kenneth Dupee), 1887-1970
Date Created:
1935
Description:
Striking differences in other factors of fire danger resulting from differences in density of the forest. These data show that when an area is partially cutover the shade of the residual stand has a very beneficial effect in reducing fire danger. Careless brush burning destroys this shade and thereby increases future fire danger.
