Another device for measuring wood moisture. This Blinkometer invented by M.E. Dunlap of the Forest Products Laboratory for studying the moisture content of lumber is being found very useful in forest fire research. It is only during extremely critical years that logs of this size dry out sufficiently in the center so that they burn completely. Pictured is George Jemison.
