He said that he (as well as Francois Bordes) had run into this problem before and it makes them not want to accept invitations unless payment is sent in advance. He said that unless payment was handled differently for the upcoming meeting that Bonnichsen was planning for the fall he would not be willing to make such an expensive trip.
