Alpha Chi Omega House
This house was originally home to the women of Alpha Chi Omega sorority which joined the University of Idaho campus on May 9th, 1924. Nearly forty years later on October 15th, 1961, these women celebrated the formal dedication of their new, 170,000 dollar, pink brick and white cedar sorority house. Then, in 1988 the Alpha Chi Omega sorority left the University of Idaho due to declining membership and the house acted as an overflow sorority house where members from other chapters could live. A few years later the men of Alpha Kappa Lambda fraternity moved out of their older residence and into this larger and more modern chapter house.
